The Leeds Castle Balloon

The grounds of Leeds Castle - "the loveliest castle in the world" - unquestionably offers one of the best launch sites available to us in the county of Kent. The site is backed up by a ring of superb alternative venues should need arise.

Our Flight Voucher packages include the flight, pre-flight briefings and post flight celebrations, First Flight Certificate, and most importantly, entry into Leeds Castle so that you can spend the day there before or after your flight. The Flight Vouchers are sent to you in a distinctive presentation folder, and include launch venue details, instructions to assist you with booking a date for the flight, and other relevant information.

To further enhance the presentation of the Flight Vouchers, we also offer Gift Boxes that include your choice of binoculars, collectors model balloon, hand-crafted coffee mug, crew baseball cap, polo shirt or sweatshirt.

Notes

Flight Vouchers

Passengers in the Leeds Castle balloon basket Flight Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be extended subject to the Terms and Conditions of booking. Entry to Leeds Castle gardens and grounds on the day of the flight is included in the Flight Voucher cost (the grounds are closed on a few days of the year due to special events – the entry Vouchers cannot be used on those days but can be used on an alternative day, even if this is different to the day of your flight). Friends and family of the passenger are very welcome to the grounds for the period of the launch, but an entrance ticket must be purchased if entry is required outside the balloon meeting and operating times.

Launch Site

The grounds of Leeds Castle are the normal launch site of the Leeds Castle Balloon. If the wind speed or direction are such that a safe and lengthy flight will not be possible, then the Balloon will move to a more appropriate site. Purchasers and recipients of Flight Vouchers and Gift Vouchers are advised that we are unable to guarantee that the balloon flight will launch from the grounds of Leeds Castle.
